I note you seek access to the following information:

I am requesting information about serious knife crime:

1. Please supply the number of offences flagged as serious knife crimes in your area on a monthly basis since January 2012 (or the earliest possible date) until August 2022. A serious knife offence is any a) murder, b) attempted murder, c) threats to kill, d) assault with injury and assault with intent to cause serious harm, e) robbery, f) rape and sexual assault and g) homicide which is flagged as using a knife, as submitted by your data team to quarterly releases.

2. Please supply the number of offences flagged as serious knife offences in your area which have resulted in a charge or summons on a monthly basis since January 2012 (or the earliest possible date) until August 2022.

3. Please supply an annual breakdown from 2017 to 2021 of the ages of suspects charged or summons for serious knife crimes, using the following breakdowns:
a) Under 16
b) 16-18
c) 19-25
d) 25-34
e) 35+

Please supply an annual breakdown from 2017 to 2021 of the ages of victims of serious knife crime, using the following breakdowns:
a) Under 16
b) 16-18
c) 19-25
d) 25-34
e) 35+”
