Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.22.027137
I note you seek access to the following information:
Counter Terrorism Policing (SO15) within the Metropolitan Police is lead by an officer of the rank Commander. I am aware that Counter Terrorism Policing is made up of eleven CTU networks throughout the country each network Headed by a Chief Superintendent in Rank. With CTPHQ based on London.
My Question is does each Network Lead (chief superintendent) report to the CTU Commander at CTPHQ at the MPS. When I say report to I mean in a management sense.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
The regional Counter Terrorism Heads are supported by CTPHQ, however they do not report to the Director General of CTPHQ in a management sense. Line management responsibility sits within the relevant region. In times of high threat the Senior National Coordinator (who sits in CTPHQ) can take overall command.
