Q1 - How many employees do you have?
Currently there are 46321 people working for the Metropolitan Police. Workforce data is published monthly as a part of the Publication Scheme.
Q2 - How many are British Muslims?
People who work for the Met can self-declare their religion and many choose not to. However we are able to confirm that there are currently 885 people who have self-declared as being Muslim, but this is not representative of the workforce as a whole.
Q3 - How many are British Muslim women?
Out of the 885 people who have self-declared as being Muslim, 200 of them are female.
Q4 - How many are disabled British Muslims?
Similar to religion, declaring a disability is also optional, and we do not have a central record of people who are disabled and work for the Met. We are therefore unable to provide an accurate number of those who are self-declare as both disabled and Muslim.
Q5 - How many are disabled British Muslim women?
We are unable to provide an accurate number of those who self-declare as both disabled and Muslim and are female.
Q6 - How many are British Pakistani?
British Pakistani is not an option that people are able to choose when they are stating their nationality. However we do have a Pakistani category and there are 787 people who have selected this category.
