Please note with regards to my request below that there is a mistake in my suggested table and that I do not require the gender breakdown but I do still require the age breakdown and the other data.

REQUEST:
1. The total number of recorded cruelty to children/young person offences (Home Office offence code: 11A) for the periods 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020, 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021, and 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.
2. The total number of victims broken down by age (by individual year of age where possible otherwise please provide it grouped into: 0-5, 6-10, 11-15 and 16-17).

Please note that when interpreting the data that the Children and Young Persons Act 1933 covers a huge range of situations and also of ‘seriousness’ ranging from a series of very minor common assaults to serious cruelty and neglect.
Also please note that adults who appear in this table may include those who have reported historic cruelty/neglect, or appear as additional victims on the CRIS report (e.g. parents).
