Op Venice sought to provide a workable and sustainable solution to this problem, leading to the formation of the Scorpion team – highly skilled drivers and riders who were given a green light to instigate tactical contact against moped and motorbikes involved in criminality. As a result of the Op Venice proactive tactics, huge reductions have been achieved in moped enabled criminality.
