Station and counter closures across the MPS area from 2015 to 2021

I note you seek access to the following information:

I would like to know the number of police stations and police counters that have closed in your Police Force area.

I would like this information for each of the last seven calendar years: 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021.

Decision

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

Please find below information pursuant to your request above.

A Police Station is defined as an operational building with a Front Counter. Therefore all information contained in the attached spreadsheet refers to where a Front Counter has closed to the public.

Please see the attached spreadsheet which shows the Police Stations that have closed to the public from 2015-2020, and whether the buildings are still in use or have since been disposed of. There were no Front Counter closures during 2021.
