I note you seek access to the following information:
1. How many Rest Days are owed to Constables, Sergeants, Inspectors and Chief Inspectors in your force?
2. How many rest days were cancelled during 2021?
3. Can you give this information as of 1 January 2022?
4. If possible could you give the figures as a total, as well as broken down annually if you have that information? And if you don't have complete numbers for the year, please can you just send what you have.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1 - How many Rest Days are owed to Constables, Sergeants, Inspectors and Chief Inspectors in your force?
The last monthly report dated 28 Feb 2022 shows there are 204,015 outstanding rest days for ranks up to A/Supt (CI substantive rank), however, that figure has had any rest days under 8 hours and any over 12 hours for constables and sergeants removed on the basis they are more likely to be booking errors.
Also in that report are the rest days that have been re-rostered into the future, so although they are not currently showing as available to be re-rostered, they are rest days that have been worked but not yet taken, of which there are a further 45,465.
Q2 - How many rest days were cancelled during 2021?
593,167
Q3 - Can you give this information as of 1 January 2022?
Please see our response to your question 2.
Q4 - If possible could you give the figures as a total, as well as broken down annually if you have that information? And if you don't have complete numbers for the year, please can you just send what you have.
