I would like to request some data on enforcement of Covid lockdown regulations in May 2020.
Would you please be able to tell me:
- How many people were charged with offences related to breach of Covid rules in the week between 17 May and 23 May 2020
- How many people were fined for breach of Covid rules in the week between 17 May and 23 May 2020.
- For each instance where a person was charged or fined, could you please provide info on what they are alleged to have done, and if they were fined, how much they were fined.
- I'm trying to find out how many fines were issued for breaching Covid rules in the week between 17 May and 23 May 2020.
- Do you have a number, and ideally a breakdown of what offences fines were issued for?

Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
However please note that the MPS do not hold the information in relation to charges, only in relation to FPN’s.
I can confirm that eight FPN’s were reported by the MPS.
Five FPN’s were sent to ACRO after the first review.
Five non-payments and charges laid through the single justice procedure notice (SJPN) process of which, four were found in absence and one guilty plea was accepted.
Of the eight FPN’s that were reported, six were in relation to gatherings of more than two and two were for contravene/fail to comply.
In addition to the above one fine was for £180, two were for £100 one was for £250 and one was for £810. The remaining three resulting in no further action (NFA).
