Thank you for answering my previous FOI request (reference number 01/FOI/21/021680). Following on from this, I would be most grateful if you could answer the below questions:
• How many cases involving CSAM has Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning software been used on?
• Do you use the software in every case or just certain ones?
• Did you find that it helped to solve certain cases?

Q1 - How many cases involving CSAM has Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning software been used on?
Approximately 5 cases. These were a mix of new cases and cases already graded and was only used to compare the AI outcome against that of the reviewing officer.
Q2 - Do you use the software in every case or just certain ones?
The cases the AI was used on was as part of a pilot only and not relied upon.
Q3 - Did you find that it helped to solve certain cases?
It was never used independently so therefore the answer would be no.
