Q1 - How many British Muslim employees have you recruited? Please provide annual figures.
Employees are not obliged to declare their protected characteristics upon joining the Met. Of the people recruited to the Met between 1 January and 31 December 2021, none identified themselves as Muslim.
In 2021, a total 1,055 people employed by the Met had declared themselves Muslim.
Q2 - What is the average length of service?
The average length of service for the 1,055 people self-declared as Muslim and employed during 2021 was 3900.84 days, or 10.68 years.
Q3 - How many British Muslims have you employed in communications/media roles?
There are currently 2 people self-declared as British Muslim employed in the Directorate of Media Communications.
