Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.22.023534
I note you seek access to the following information:
1. From its inception to the date of this request, please can you tell me how many Met police officers have been recruited via PEQF.
I am only interested in the number of officers who have joined as PCs not those who have joined via the detective pathway.
2. From the inception of PEQF to the date of this request is the number of PCs (not detectives) recruited via PEQF in line with anticipated or targeted numbers?
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
We have had the PEQF entry types (Degree Holder Entry Pathway, Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and Initial Police Learning and Development Programme +) come into use from January 2021.
In the intakes since that date we have recruited 2,180 PC recruits. Added together the targets for the intakes over the same period (12 intakes in total) the total is 2,306.
So far in 2021/22, up to and including February 2022 we have recruited 1741 against a full year Target of 2095.
