Q1 - How many officers have made no arrests in the period: 1 Apr 21 - 31 Mar 22.
22,753 unique officers.
Q2 - How many officers have made less than 5 arrests in the same period.
30,265 unique officers between the dates of 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022.
INFORMATION
There are over 30,000 Police officers in the MPS performing a variety of roles including Counter Terrorism, Specialist Crime and operational response functions.
All of these roles, require warranted powers for various reasons but often don’t necessitate arrests. Arrests are predominantly made by emergency response teams who are far fewer in number, which explains why arrests per total officer numbers might appear low.
