I note you seek access to the following information:
Pursuant to section 1 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I write to request the below information:
1. A copy of any policies or operating procedures relating to the DPS Discrimination Unit and/or the Discrimination Investigation Unit.
2. A copy of any policies or operating procedures relating to the Metropolitan Police Service’s grievance procedures.
3. A copy of any policies or operating procedures relating to the Metropolitan Police Service’s conduct procedures and, in particular relating to the rights of the complainant/victim.
4. How many complaints have been made in the last 12 months, which have been referred to the DPS Discrimination Unit and/or the Discrimination Investigation Unit?
5. How many of the complaints involved discrimination or harassment on grounds of sexual orientation?
6. In respect of each complaint referred to the DPS Discrimination Unit and/or the Discrimination Investigation Unit (regardless of whether it involved discrimination or harassment on grounds of sexual orientation), what support was the original complainant/victim afforded?
7. In respect of each of those complaints referred to the DPS Discrimination Unit and/or the Discrimination Investigation Unit (regardless of whether it involved discrimination or harassment on grounds of sexual orientation), was the original complainant/victim notified of the outcome of the investigation? If not, what was the reason for not informing them?

Q1 - A copy of any policies or operating procedures relating to the DPS Discrimination Unit and/or the Discrimination Investigation Unit.
The DPS DIU was set up to ensure a quality response to allegations arising from public complaints or misconduct matters involving discrimination. The policy is to ensure adherence with the IOPC guidelines which are attached.
Q2 - A copy of any policies or operating procedures relating to the Metropolitan Police Service’s grievance procedures.

Q3 - A copy of any policies or operating procedures relating to the Metropolitan Police Service’s conduct procedures and, in particular relating to the rights of the complainant/victim.
The MPS follow the Home office Statutory guidance and the IOPC statutory guidance. Both of which are attached above. The rights of complainants/victims are explained in full throughout both documents.
