I note you seek access to the following information:
1. The total number of attacks and assaults on taxi and private hire drivers that have taken place each year from 2018 to 2021 inclusive
2. Of these attacks, how many were ABH or Common Assault?
3. The contents of the crime report in each instance (redacted)
4. The total number of these where the crime report made reference to the victim working for Uber, Lyft, FreeNow, Bolt, Addison Lee, Kapten, Ola
5. Of these attacks, how many have resulted in a prosecution?”
On the 27 May 2022, I wrote to you and explained that complying with all parts of your request for information would exceed the 18 hour research/cost limit of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). In doing so, I provided the following advice under the Act:
“I can confirm that the MPS has extracted the information requested, based on a count of offences, in response to parts 1 and 2 of your request for information. The outcome of each offence has been extracted in response to part 5 of your request. The information located in response to these parts of your request for information can accordingly be considered for release to you. Should you wish to refine your request to these questions, please email or contact me at the postal address at the top of this notice.”
On the 27 May 2022, you wrote to me and stated:
“Thanks for this, then could the request be refined to the information extracted as mentioned- for 1,2 & 5”
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find enclosed a spreadsheet in which the located information has been provided.
