I note you seek access to the following information:
I am seeking information about the deployment of police vehicles equipped with CCTV or other surveillance technology at protests.
1. I understand that a van equipped with cameras (registration LX** **F) was deployed at protests on 17 April 2021, and a van with cameras (registration LB** **G) was deployed at protests on 15 January 2022.
Regarding those deployments:
A) how long was footage stored?
B) was retrospective facial recognition technology used on the footage and
C) if facial recognition technology was used, how many people were on the watchlist, and what was the people on the watchlist for?
D) was anything else done with the footage after the deployment?
2. Were those vans, or other vans equipped with CCTV, deployed to other protests in 2020, 2021 or 2022? If yes, please provide a list of the deployments.
