I note you seek access to the following information:

1) How many Police Officer identify as B.A.M.E - work within first contact - MO12 - at MET CC LAMBETH
2) How many Police Officer at Police Sergeant Rank, identify as B.A.M.E - work within first contact, MO12 AT MET CC, LAMBETH
3) How many Police Officer at Police Constable Rank, identify as B.A.M.E - work within first contact, MO12 AT MET CC, LAMBETH
4) How many Police Officer at APS, identify as B.A.M.E - work within first contact, MO12 AT MET CC, LAMBETH

Decision

I have today decided to disclose some of the requested information. Some data has been withheld as it is exempt from disclosure and therefore this response serves as a Refusal Notice under Section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act) by virtue of the following exemptions:

Section 40(2)(3)&(4) - Personal Information

Reason for decision

S40 are absolute exemptions which means that the legislators have identified that harm would be caused by any release. In addition there is no requirement to consider the public interest test.

Our searches produced low numbers. This is a request for information which if released, broken down by police rank could identify individuals.

Disclosure

We can however disclose that there are currently 20 police officers self-identified as BAME at Met CC Lambeth.
