Freedom of information request reference no: 01.FOI.21.022356
I note you seek access to the following information:
I'm writing to ask that you please disclose details of any time, specifically how many times, you've been called to the houses of Parliament for drugs related offences or inspections, whether or not this led to disciplinary action or prosecution.
Further to this, I'd also like to know how many times this led to disciplinary action.
The timeframe for this request would be from 2017 to present.
for clarity, as well as to answer offences or investigations, I'd also like to know how many times the Met has been called out to carry out drugs inspections as well please.
Clarified on 18/12/2021:
For clarity, I'm not in this instance looking for internal disciplinary action within the Met Police. I'm looking for information on how many times Met police officers have been called to investigate drug use in parliament. So ignoring the word "disciplinary", this would involve actions taken against MPs, or times MPs have been questioned, detained, or otherwise involved in drugs related cases, or drugs related investigations of Commons grounds. I'm not looking for internal data on police officers.
Following further clarification and your request on 07/01/2022 to include civil servants in the search, you confirmed on 10/01/2022 that you wished us to carry out the following search of the Crime Reporting Information System (CRIS):
Drug Offences by Outcomes with a Venue Location of the Houses of Parliament, where the Suspect's/Accused's Occupation is 'Member of Parliament' or 'Civil Servant' for the period Recorded Between 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2021.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
No Members of Parliament or Civil Servants at the Houses of Parliament were recorded as suspected or accused of drug offences during the period 01/01/2017 – 31/12/2021.
