Section 60 Stops and Searches by Self-Defined Ethnicity from April 2013 to March 2021

I note you seek access to the following information:

I would like the exact same information provided on tab 'SS_07' of the release 'Stop and search data tables - second edition 2019/20' but broken down by ethnicity groupings used on tab 'SS_06' of the same document.

This would only be for the Metropolitan Police and I appreciate small numbers may need to be suppressed.

So for example I would wish to know how many Section 60 stops were made of 'Black/Black British' people for each year, and then how many of these were 'found to be carrying weapon' / 'total arrests' / 'for offensive weapons' / 'for other reasons'. But the table would have all ethnic groups in it for as many historic years as possible.

Please find enclosed with this notice, a spreadsheet in which the requested information has been provided. This notes tab of this spreadsheet should be read in conjunction with the disclosed data. This data relates to the outcomes of s.60 searches; when evaluating the effectiveness of a section 60 authorisation it is also important to note that Sec 60 is also crucially about having a deterrent effect to prevent crime.
