Educational background of new joiners to the MPS

I note you seek access to the following information:

I would like information on the prior educational background of new joiners to the MPS in recent years.

By new joiners, I mean people starting a police career rather than transfers from other forces. So I would take people coming in via Direct Entry, Police Now and other schemes.

I am happy to take your guidance on how to frame my question, but the ideal would be something like:
- how many people in each of the past 5 years joined by each recruitment pathway
- how many people in each of those streams entered with an honours degree (BA or similar), or higher.

I appreciate the data may not be held in this precise form - maybe it will be stored as an education “level”.

I would, in addition like to know what data is held on recruits’ educational backgrounds beyond that.
