Police promotion to the ranks of Sergeant and Inspector, for officers in the Metropolitan Police.
1. For the three years to December 2021:
a) What was the number of Police Constables who sat the Metropolitan Police internal Constable to Sergeant promotion board?
b) What was the number of Police Sergeants who sat the Metropolitan Police internal Sergeant to Inspector promotion board?
c) How many of these successfully passed the board and were promoted to the rank of Sergeant / Inspector?
d) Could this information please show gender and median length of service for those officers successfully appointed to the rank of Sergeant / Inspector?
Retirement of officers in the Metropolitan Police
2. For the three years to December 2021:
a) How many police officers left the Metropolitan Police by way of normal retirement (discount early retirement, medical retirement)?
b) Could this information please show gender and rank?
Attrition rates for officers in the Metropolitan Police
3. For the three years to December 2021:
a) How many police officers left the Metropolitan Police before reaching normal retirement age / length of service?
b) Could this information please show length of service and reason for leaving (please discount probationary officers and those transferring to other forces).
