I note you seek access to the following information:
How many licences for house to house charity collections were
a. Applied for
b. Granted by the Met Police in the following years - 2019 2020 2021.
I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
There is no one system which records all this information. We have however managed to locate the following information for you, and it can today be provided in full:
Applications received electronically:
2019 – 28
2020 – 16
2021 – 23
Licences granted in total:
2019 – 29
2020 - 6
2021 - 22
You will notice that the number of applications received in 2019 is lower than the number of licences granted during that year. This is because, on occasion, an application may be received as hard copy in the post.
Unfortunately we do not have any records to indicate how many applications were received this way as this has not been recorded in any central repository.
