Ethnicity and other diversity data for police officer recruits

I note you seek access to the following information:

• The date when you ended the IPDLP or similar training scheme for new recruits
• The date when you first started to recruit police officers to the PEQF entry routes
• The date of your first PCDA intake
• The date of your first DHEP or Detective DHEP intake
• Whether you have not yet recruited officers via any of the above stated PEQF routes
• Please could you identify what ethnicity labelled scheme you ask recruits to identify against and whether/when that changed

1. Please could you supply me with self-declared ethnicity data, including statistics for those who chose not to define themselves, for all police officer recruits from 2015 to current, also broken down to include whether male or female in each category?

2. Please could you split data according to the relevant entry route, i.e. IPDLP or similar?

Q1 - The date when you ended the IPDLP or similar training scheme for new recruits

From August 2020, the MPS ceased to offer the IPLDP to new student police officers. However, those who were in the recruitment pipeline entering the Met on IPLDP would have joined an enhanced version of the existing programme in 2021, known as IPLDP+. IPLDP+ is consistent with the new national curriculum and probationer journey. It will closely align with the first two years of the PCDA. Please note the Met are no longer accepting new applications for IPLDP+.

Q2 - The date when you first started to recruit police officers to the PEQF entry routes.

The Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) and Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP) opened for application in March 2020 as part of a national Police Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF).

Q3 -The date of your first PCDA intake;
Q4 - The date of your first DHEP or Detective DHEP intake
