Q1 - How many fines, fixed penalty notices, and/or tickets have been issued to cyclists in London by the Metropolitan Police for breaking traffic rules as set out in the Road Traffic Act 1988 and in The Highway Code?

Please provide data from the year 2015 to the most recent data available and split into calendar yearly intervals.
Please find attached information pursuant to your request above. The attached data is the yearly breakdown of the total number of Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) issued in London Area for cycling offences for the period in question (January 2015 to November 2022). *You are however, to note that the TOR figure supplied for November 2022 is subject to change as notices are processed through the live system and it takes Officers up to six weeks to send tickets to us for processing.
In respect of the actual fines, we wouldn’t know as a number cases would have been referred through the judicial system (courts) and we would therefore be unaware of court outcomes to assist us in knowing the exact amount of fines and it monetary value. Further, all fines are paid to His Majesty’s Treasury Department and you will have to contact them direct.
