This is still a live campaign which will be running for many more months, an answer is therefore not yet available to this question.
REQUEST 2:

How many retired officers are employed as consultants by the MET police?
In what departments of the MET are they used in?

Officers may return to the Met as either a member of police staff or a contractor. However, we are unable to confirm whether any of those who are currently in consultancy roles are retired officers. We can confirm that there are no officers who have returned as a member of staff after retirement in a job role that contains the phrase ‘consultant’. However, there may be some whose roles contain some form of consultancy that is not stated in their job title.
Personal details of contractors are not stored on the MPS’ HR system and we are therefore unable to confirm if any of those who are contractors in a consultancy role are retired officers. This information is therefore not recorded.
