I note you seek access to the following information:

1. Do you currently have a Video Conferencing system or display in your Interview rooms? If so, can you specify which system you use?
2. How many evidential Interview rooms do you have at each Custody Centre?
3. Do you have any Virtual Courtrooms in your custody estate? If so, please specify how many and where they are?
4. What type of Video Conferencing equipment do you currently have in your Virtual Courtrooms?
5. Do you have a nominated "Digital First" lead in your force? If so, please provide a name and email address for that person?

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.

Please find below information pursuant to your request above.

Q1 - Do you currently have a Video Conferencing system or display in your Interview rooms? If so, can you specify which system you use?

The MPS use a Digital Interview Recording system provided by Sopra Steria. A new system has been procured and is in project phase due to begin rollout in May 2023. The supplier is Axon.

Q2 - How many evidential Interview rooms do you have at each Custody Centre?

54 Met buildings, 234 fixed interview rooms; 110 mobile interview recording devices.

Q3 - Do you have any Virtual Courtrooms in your custody estate? If so, please specify how many and where they are?

There are no virtual courtroom spaces on our custody estate.

Q4 - What type of Video Conferencing equipment do you currently have in your Virtual Courtrooms?

We currently use Web browser access from our corporate systems (e.g., laptops) to join CVP calls.
Q5 - Do you have a nominated "Digital First" lead in your force? If so, please provide a name and email address for that person?
There is no nominated Digital First lead, however, there is a list of the MPS’ Corporate digital team which is already available in the public domain and I have provided a link below for your reference.
