I have today decided to disclose the located information to you in full.
Please find below information pursuant to your request above.
Q1 - Please can I have a list of policing priorities set by the safer parks panel.
Safer Parks Police Panel:
Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens have their own police liaison group, the “Safer Parks Police Panel”. Its core function is to monitor both crime and safety issues within the parks and sets priorities based on personal experience, public feedback and quarterly trend reports from the Parks Police and The Royal Parks charity.
Subsequent performance is evaluated at the following meeting. The Panel meets quarterly and comprises of 15 people representing the many park visitors, local residents, those with businesses within the Parks, the Friends and local councillors.
1. The last quarterly Safer Parks Panel meeting took place on Monday 18 July and the latest priorities were set at the end of this.
They were:
1 - Robbery and seasonal distraction theft.
2 - Anti-social behaviour (to include unlawful barbecue risk in the hot dry weather)
3 - Unlawful cycling & E-scooters
Q2 - Please can you also share anonymised demographic information about the makeup of the panel, including: age groups (e.g. 18-24, 25-30, etc), race, gender identity.
With regards to anonymised information about the makeup of the panel, although there were a mix of the demographics inquired about, at the last meeting, this is purely anecdotal and the MPS do not possess such personal information with regards to panel members.
