1) How many people have been employed as Police Officers in the MPS over the past 24 months (from 07/08/20 to today)

2) How many of these individuals were fully vetted, or received a level of vetting

Please find below information pursuant to your request above.

Q1 - How many people have been employed as Police Officers in the MPS over the past 24 months (from 07/08/20 to today).

Between 07/08/2020 – 31/07/2022 there have been 4,627 new police recruits. Please note that the last intake was on 31/07/22, so this is the latest data available. This data does not include officers transferring into the Met.

Q2 - How many of these individuals were fully vetted, or received a level of vetting.

All individuals are vetted prior to joining.
