I would like information, from the last 5 years, relating to prosecutions, successful or otherwise which involved a cyclist fatality and a motor vehicle.
Specifically, can you provide the following information:
1. How many cyclist fatalities there have been in London since January, 2017
2. Of those fatalities, how many involved a motor vehicle (either car or bike)
3. Of the fatalities involving a motor vehicle, how many drivers of those vehicles were prosecuted (including details of the charge)
4. Of those charged, how many were convicted?

These searches successfully located the information relevant to your request. Please note, in relation to questions 4, the MPS does not hold convictions data. Convictions data is held by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). CPS have their own publication scheme and you have the opportunity to submit a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to them directly.
I will disclose the answers to the remaining questions under the section titled Information Disclosed.
DATASET CAVEAT
Please note that the total provided for question 1 does not include any possible crime cases where a cyclist may have been killed. It is also important to note that the Roads Transport Policing Command (RTPC) and or the Borough deal with the actual investigations, and so M010 only hold the basic details. The definitive statistics are held by Transport for London (TfL). TFL have their own publication scheme and you have the opportunity to submit a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to them directly.
Q1 - How many cyclist fatalities there have been in London since January 2017
The MPS recorded a total of 58 cyclist fatalities in London from 1 January 2019 to date.
Q2 - Of those fatalities, how many involved a motor vehicle (either car or bike)
48 cases involved a Cycle versus Motor Vehicle
6 cases involved a Cycle versus Pedestrian
4 are cyclists with no other vehicle or person involved.
Q3 - Of the fatalities involving a motor vehicle, how many drivers of those vehicles were prosecuted (including details of the charge)
23 are shown as prosecuted
Q4 - Of those charged, how many were convicted?
