I note you seek access to the following information:

Data on femicide over the past
20 years (2001-2021), including intimate and non-intimate partner femicide (mean age and race of victims and their perpetrators, and motives behind femicide if possible). Also data on femicide-suicides, risk factors of femicide.

Decision & reason for decision

I have today decided to disclose the located information to you. As you will see we have not provided you with information in relation to the motives behind the incidents, the reason for this is because every report mentioned in the attached would need to be read which would likely result in a cost refusal response to you.
Incidentally, in addition to this, disclosure of this information could result is a Sec 40(2)(3) exemption being applied if there were any identification issues.
