Every officer makes a difference – and you could supply hundreds
It's not easy policing London – a city of over eight million people. That's why we value the contribution of our volunteer police officers so highly. In fact, we're keen to grow our Special Constabulary from 2,400 to 3,200 people. And one way we're doing this is through Employer Supported Policing (ESP). This exciting initiative sees businesses give their employees time off to volunteer for the Met. Help us boost our team – and safety in the capital.
This is your chance to be the Recruitment Lead for our ESP programme. You'll work with our Citizens In Policing team to develop ESP and get more businesses signed up. It'll be down to you to steer the scheme's strategic direction and to make sure it delivers results. That takes creative thinking and great networking skills. You'll need to forge strong relationships with businesses once they're on board, all while supporting the Met's wider volunteer recruitment efforts. Expand our team and your work could impact national schemes and influence best practice.
Are you currently working in Recruitment, Sales or Marketing? Or looking for the next step in HR or the Voluntary sector? If so, this could be a good opportunity to develop your career. You'll need management experience and a highly organised approach. We'll also be looking for strong IT skills including spreadsheet and database knowledge. Above all, you'll need to be good with people and a natural at building connections. You should communicate clearly, network well and give excellent presentations.
