Job summary

SO15 major incident rooms (MIR’s) are teams of staff responsible for receiving, reviewing and indexing all material gathered during counter terrorism major investigations and the subsequent tasking of investigators to drive and direct investigations. 

Please note this post holds a 2 year minimum posting due to vetting and training costs incurred by all new applicants.

Key tasks

As part of the MIR, you will maintain the designated indices on CT HOLMES, cross referencing information and raising actions for the investigation teams whilst simultaneously identifying intelligence development opportunities.

Vetting

This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (enhanced) (SC(e)) level before taking up the post; with a willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) once in post, if required.
