LDSS (Local Delivery Support Services) delivers a wide variety of support services locally, with a central management structure and teams supporting geographical areas across London.
We deliver numerous local services including general administration, support to Senior Leadership Teams, management of criminal exhibits, fleet administration and management and typing for criminal cases.
Most of the work we undertake involves working closely with our operational colleagues. LDSS are constantly evolving in line with the transformation of the Met over the next five years to help support modern policing. There is still much work to do to standardise the services we provide, improve processes, build a performance culture and ensure that we deliver the most efficient and cost effective service we can to all of our customers.

As a support team member and part of this important resource, you’ll tackle all kinds of jobs to help the Met run more efficiently.
This is an opportunity to take a wide range of duties. You’ll handle all sorts of admin and logistics, from diary management and taking minutes at meetings, to ordering stock, taking in large deliveries and managing criminal exhibits and assets. You will also take care of our fleet, for example, washing vehicles and checking equipment. The key is to take pride in your work and deliver fantastic customer service. LDSS is always evolving so you’ll play your part in its development. It’s your chance to provide feedback on areas we can improve to better support frontline officers.
With staff and officers depending on you, high standards are crucial. Teamwork will also be essential, along with flexibility and resilience: you should be adept at solving problems and using your initiative. Meanwhile, good administrative skills will be needed on an everyday basis. If you can also bring strong people skills and an eye for detail, there could be a place for you in our team.
