Our Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) officers need high quality vehicles to perform their vital work. As a vehicle replacement programme manager, you’ll ensure they have a modern, high-performing fleet that’s always ready to roll.
In this key role, you’ll deliver the Capital Vehicle Replacement Programme for both Counter Terrorism (CT) and Protective Security Grant-funded (PSG) vehicles. Through the programme, vehicles will be replaced after five years, ensuring our team have an effective fleet for crucial CT operations.
Day to day, you’ll work with service providers within the Met Police’s Frontline Support Services and outside partners, managing relationships and checking contracts perform as planned. You’ll also maintain a database of vehicles, map out five-year replacements and prepare business cases, but you won’t do it alone.
To tackle this challenge, you’ll have a team of five resource fleet assistants who are embedded in Special Operations (SO) business groups. Together, you’ll see that the fleet is inspected and reviewed, while taking value for money into account.
