Apply for a one-for-one variation to a firearm certificate.

Step 1: Download and complete our Application To Vary A Firearm Certificate (Form 201V).

You will need these details:

  • your current firearms certificate
  • your current UK GP and UK GP practice
  • any physical or mental health conditions
  • any previous convictions
  • details of the firearm(s) you wish to vary and why


Step 2: Post your completed form and current firearm certificate to:

Please note, our offices are on a secure site which is not open to the public. Reception staff will only accept post delivered through Royal Mail. We cannot accept items delivered personally or by courier.


Step 3: We'll get in touch as quickly as possible if you need to make any corrections to your form. Otherwise, you should receive your updated certificate within eight weeks.
