Local policing teams work with and within their local communities so they can learn more about the concerns and priorities of the people who live there and can tackle those issues on the ground. They can use their specialist knowledge to offer crime prevention advice, to deal with anti-social behaviour, reduce crime and protect vulnerable people.
I'd like to suggest or request a community contact session
A Community Contact Session (CCS) is a weekly opportunity for Dedicated Ward Officers to meet with their community in a public place and in person to share information. It’s a time to discuss issues, report crimes and communicate crime prevention advice.
Officers can also signpost services offered by partner agencies, which may be more appropriate than police intervention. The locations of the sessions will be publicised on our website and via social media. Use this form if you wish to request a CCS in your area or around a particular theme.
