RSS news feeds
We have changed the way we deliver Metropolitan Police news feeds.
We now providing news and appeals content via RSS feeds. If you subscribe to our RSS you will be alerted when a news and appeal article is published to the website.
You will be able to subscribe to our feeds from our News and Appeals homepage. The orange RSS icon will appear when a Metropolitan Police feed is available.
We hope to offer an increased choice of RSS feeds in the near future.
You can subscribe to our RSS feeds from your web browser, a web based news reader or email news reader.
- Web Browser – You will be able to check RSS from most web browsers. The latest versions of Firefox, Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari and Chrome will automatically check for feeds when you visit a website. Please refer to your web browser software for guidance on how to enable RSS.
- Web based news reader – This reader checks for your feeds and displays any new articles that have been added. They let you catch up with your RSS feed subscriptions from any computer or device.
- Desktop news reader – You may be able to read RSS feeds through your email. Please refer to your email software for guidance on how to enable RSS.
Add our feed to your website
If you run your own website, you can subscribe and display the latest headlines from the Metropolitan Police on your own site.
We encourage the use of Metropolitan Police feeds as part of a website, however, we do require that the proper format and attribution is used when Metropolitan Police content appears. The attribution text should read "Metropolitan Police News" or "met.police.uk/news" as appropriate.
