Advice for victims

The Police are here to help anyone who comes to them and says they have been raped or sexually assaulted. Whether you are male or female, young or old- we are here to help you.

We take all reports of rape and sexual assault seriously. Don't be afraid to report it.

The Metropolitan Police Service is aware that rape and sexual assault are sensitive and difficult crimes to report for all victims. Male victims can find it particularly difficult.

All Borough Sapphire Teams have officers who are specially trained deal with all victims of sexual crime.

Men and Sexual Assault A leaflet has been produced on 'Male Victims of Sexual Assault' by agencies working in partnership with the MPS. This is also available in the following languages:

If you do not wish to contact the police direct, you can visit The Havens in confidence. The Havens can provide you with medical help and also with advice and information about your options.

You not need to report what has happened to the police to use the services provided by The Havens.
