RoadsafeLondon
Roadsafe London has been set up by the Metropolitan Police Traffic department to allow you, the public, to tell us about criminal, nuisance or anti-social behaviour on London’s roads. Our aim is to use your information to stop the most dangerous drivers putting everyone else at risk and to make London’s roads as safe as they can be.
Please tell us about people who:
- Drive under the influence of drink or drugs
- Drive with no insurance
- Drive without a licence or whilst disqualified from driving
- Using an un-roadworthy vehicle
We are also happy to hear about:
- Drivers who race or excessively rev their cars close to homes.
- Road layouts that you think may be dangerous or could be improved.
- Criminals
who deliberately cause crashes to defraud the insurance industry
A simple to use form available here RoadsafeLondon form will allow you to pass your information directly to us; this can be done anonymously if you like. Please provide as much information as possible, particularly driver and vehicle details, dates times and locations. Your information will be used to improve the Intelligence picture and increase the potential opportunity for us to effectively resolve the issue that you have raised.
Please note RoadsafeLondon should NOT be used if:
- You need us in an emergency - call 999
- You wish to report a collision. If you wish to report your involvement in a collision then this must be done on official documentation available here http://www.met.police.uk/traffic/index.htm under the link Collision forms and reports
- You wish to report a crime - go to or call your local police station.
If you wish to report an abandoned vehicle or have any issues with local parking, these concerns should be directed to your local council, details can be found here Direct Gov's Council A-Z
If you wish to report a vehicle without a current tax disc you can call DVLA on 0800 032 5202 or report online
If you choose to provide contact details we will acknowledge your information and reserve the right to contact you if we feel you may be able to provide further information or clarification.
In any event your details will not be provided to anyone else.
Occasionally, as well as reporting something to us, people post video footage in the public domain e.g. YouTube or similar sites. In the course of dealing with your information we may direct others to any material that has been openly posted, to raise road user awareness and to promote safety.
Thank you for visiting the RoadsafeLondon website.
