Officers from Operation Elveden arrested a woman at her home in Essex this morning. The 38-year-old woman [Elveden arrest 67] is a member of police staff in the MPS Central Communications Command. She was arrested at approximately 06:00hrs for suspected misconduct in a public office and suspected corruption. She has been bailed until early September. Operation Elveden is the MPS inquiry into allegations of inappropriate payments to police and public officials. It is being supervised by the Independent Police Complaints Commission and is running in conjunction with Operation Weeting, the MPS phone-hacking inquiry. |
