Police are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Kingston in which a motorcyclist was badly injured.

On Saturday 4th May at 11.57hrs, London Ambulance Service and Police were called to Kingston Hill, KT2 following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

The 21 year old male motorcyclist was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service.

He was taken to St Georges Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

He remains in hospital in a serious condition.

All parties stopped at the scene.

Det Con Andy MEIKLE, who is leading the investigation, said;
"I am grateful to those who contacted emergency services and who stopped at the scene to assist the casualty. I would urge anyone who may have seen any of the parties in the moments leading up to the collision, or the collision itself, to contact Police."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit at Hampton Traffic Garage on 020 8941 9011, or anonymously via 'Crimestoppers'.

No arrests.
