Aviation Security Objectives

Aviation Security sits within the Specialist Operations [SO] Directorate of the Metropolitan Police Service. The Specialist Operations Directorate has a business plan together with business objectives that help to deliver the MPS Policing Plan.

Aviation Security have a specific business objectives that contribute towards the Specialist Operations business plan. These objectives are:

• working in partnership to create a safer environment through security, protection and counter terrorism activity.
• to enhance crime reduction activity across Heathrow and London City Airport.
• effectively respond to all environmental protests and anti-social behaviour
• increase confidence and satisfaction in the way we deliver airport policing.
