Drugs action and advice

The Met works in partnership to tackle the drugs problem. Met officers carry out operations and are involved in different activities with partner agencies to disrupt organised criminal activity and drugs networks.

The public are encouraged to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with any information that could help police arrest the dealers.

The MPS Drugs Strategy 2007-10 has been developed to provide clear direction on how the police service in London intends to deliver its responsibility for tackling the problem of illicit drugs in the capital. It focuses on enforcing legislation aimed at tackling criminality associated with drug dealing. This will be coupled with partnership work in the areas of education, diversion, prevention
and problem-solving to reduce drug use.
