LATEST CRIME FIGURES - INTERACTIVE VERSION INFORMATION
Sample image of SVG-based intractive map

Please read this before proceeding

This interactive version of the latest crime figures site uses SVG and XML technologies to display colour coded maps of London illustrating crime trends across the capital. It has been tested on IE 5.5 and above, using Windows 2000 or XP. You will also need an SVG-compatible viewer. We recommend Adobe SVG Viewer, available from adobe.com.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphic) is an emerging data format, which combines the dynamic features of Flash with the power of XML. SVG is recommended as a 'Web standard' by the World Wide Web Consortium.

This implementation is based on the version developed by the Office of National Statistics, and uses mapping data from Ordnance Survey.
