This section provides information on the different ways that you can contact us when it is not an emergency situation.
You can call 101 to report a crime that has already happened, seek crime prevention advice or make us aware of any issues in your local area.
If you are Deaf, deafened, hard of hearing or have a speech impairment, a text phone is available on 18001 101.
By calling 101 or using our online crime reporting service - when an immediate police response is not required helps keep 999 available for emergency calls. If a crime is taking place, or somebody is in immediate danger, always call 999.
International callers, those in the UK residing outside of England and Wales and those residing in local force areas currently awaiting live access to 101 should call 020 7230 1212 to contact the Metropolitan Police Service.
Report a crime
There are various ways you can report a crime to the Met. In an emergency, always dial 999, or for non-emergencies call 101. You can also report crimes online, in police stations, or call Crimestoppers.
Your local police team
You local teams are dedicated to your community and are additional to other policing teams and units in London. If you have concerns about day-to-day crime and disorder issues, or if you would like to get involved.
