Thriftwood cadet challenge

Redbridge Volunteer Police Cadets came first out of 18 Boroughs to win the Overall Thriftwood Competition Trophy on Sunday 18th September. Redbridge Cadets also received the winning trophy for the Raft Race and third in the Log Run.

The cadets attended the Thriftwood Scout Camp located in Essex, where they took part in a Krypton Factor style activity course. This was the 16th Annual event which aims to push teams of 10 cadets both mentally and physically through camping and team-working.

PC Amanda Miller, Cadet Coordinator supervised the Redbridge Cadets attending the camp, said "I was very proud of the team and was grateful for all the support and effort from staff and the organisers of the event. Everyone had a fantastic time and all teams should be proud of their participation"

Sean Linsdall, Redbridge Team Captain said "The team worked brilliantly together and through hard work and determination won the trophy. Despite the down-pour during Saturday everyone enjoyed the weekend"
