Redbridge Cadets fundraising efforts

Redbridge Volunteer Police Cadets during December attended Marks & Spencer's in Ilford for bag packing to help raise money for charity. The money
raised was given in conjunction with Marks & Spencer's to Prostate Cancer (£135 ) and to Helping Hands (£205).
Redbridge Volunteer Police cadets also raised money to fill boxes with
groceries for elderly residents in the local area. They delivered 50
Christmas boxes themselves and spent some time with the elderly residents.
This was to promote engagement between young people and the elderly
and to assist the less able with everyday shopping.
Redbridge Coordinator PC Amanda Miller said: 'Hopefully the project
will show that by helping the elderly, people will see that not all
young people are 'bad' and that they should not be afraid. There are
still young people who respect their elders.'
